The Phantom sail design began it’s development in 2008, when Jim Hunt, bought a Phantom and started to develop a cross-cut sail in Specifications Maxx04 laminate, to fit the Selden and Super Spar masts. After a Winter of tweaking and tuning, Jim used the latest generation of the design to win the 2009 Nationals in a variety of conditions. Since then we have developed versions of the design to fit the CST mast used by Nick Craig to win the 2010 Nationals and the Selden S2 mast used by Jim Hunt to finish second at the same event.

New Radial Sail Design
During 2016 we have been developing a radial mainsail. The radial design gives a slightly more stable shape, this will enable the sail to stay slightly flatter, hold it’s shape in windier conditions.
